ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Department of Management, Logistics and Economics prepares “Bachelors” and “Masters” in “Management” (specialization “Management of organizations and administration”, “Management of innovation”, “Logistics”). The department collaborates with University of Strasbourg (France) and Kristianstad University on exchange students to study bachelor or master teachers and training and scientific research.

The department provides training in English:
– disciplines in the educational program “Management of Innovation” level “bachelor” and “master” since 2009;
– disciplines in the educational program “Logistics” level “bachelor” from 2019.

Lecture courses: knowledge economy and innovation infrastructure, innovative development company; economic analysis; Innovative technologies in logistics; Intellectual Property; infrastructure products market, products; Controlling; logistics; logistics non-production sectors (trade logistics, service logistics, risk management in logistics); logistics management; logistics management; marketing innovation; marketing innovation; management; management of trade and intermediaries; quality management and certification; methods of diagnosis and prediction of enterprise development; modeling business processes in logistics; Modeling innovation processes; operational management; organization and planning of production; foundations logistics consulting; basics of the scientific research; planning activity; logistics systems design; strategic management; strategic management of innovation development; technology transfer; management of innovation projects; supply chain management; process control design and development of new products; financial flows in logistics systems; functional logistics; marketing innovation; Modeling innovation processes; strategic management of innovation development; technology transfer; management of innovation projects; process control design and development of new products.

The department carried out fundamental research on budget and economic contracts applied for subject areas:
– Vital functions of strategic management of businesses based on their investment activities to ensure a decent quality of working life;
– Management of economic and social development of the industrial enterprise;
– The interaction with business enterprise external environment and internal environment;
– Improving innovation and logistics of the company.
The department is co-organizer of international scientific conference “Competitiveness and innovation: problems of theory and practice”, “Modern problems of business management: Theory and Practice”, which are held annually.

Staff of the department: 25 teachers, including 3 Doctor of science in Economics, 19 Ph.D. in Economics. Faculty involved in the preparation of highly qualified scientific personnel. Theme of dissertation research: organizational and economic aspects of the innovation enterprise; investment management innovation industry; use brands to enhance enterprise development; quality of working life personnel; the competitiveness of businesses and workforce in the labor market of relations with suppliers of industrial enterprises in the procurement, outsourcing logistics activities, the formation of promotional products for industrial purposes.
For the purpose of practical training highly qualified specialists Department works with leading enterprises and organizations of Kharkiv region: SIC IPA National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, State Enterprise for Designing Enterprises of Coke Industry “Giprokoks” Brokerage house “Opening”, LLC “Mobylys outsourcing”, LLC “Vytrayt” LLC “Swapo-ltd” SUAP “Evropol”, LLC “TPK” NOVA “.
Students are:
– Winners and prize-winners of Ukrainian student competition;
– Winners of scholarships of the President of Ukraine;
– Winners of the All-Ukrainian student work.
